There are homes right next to the park which seems kind of odd. There is only 1.5 miles of trails at this park. When it rains, it would be cool to see the water coming down over the waterfall ledges, like the pictures I've seen but that would take a lot of rain. Blanco State Park is small and intimate, edged by period fenced river homes and crossed by highway bridges.
